What is Tungsten Copper Alloy Sheet

Tungsten copper alloy sheet also call copper tungsten alloy sheet, it have very high conductivity provide by tungsten and copper. These tungsten copper sheets have the ability to spread the heat from a concentrated heat source and then dissipate the heat through the layers. They offer an economical solution to many applications, and available in several standard ratios and many thicknesses for tailored TE machining. They are lower weight than WCu composite materials and available in larger and thinner sheet size, at the same time, tungsten copper sheet can be machined by EDM.
WCu composites are made by infiltrating, under vacuum, uniform controlled porous blocks of tungsten with molten copper. This result in a material with an interconnected copper matrix that has high thermal conductivity in all axis, low thermal expansion, and good electrical conductivity, Copper content can range between 10% and 25%.
Our tungsten copper composites to be used extensively in thermal mounting plates, chip carriers, flanges, and frames for high-powered electronic devices. With the thermal advantages of copper with the very low expansion characteristics of tungsten, tungsten copper has properties similar to those of silicone carbide, aluminum oxide, and beryllium oxide. The thermal conductivity and low expansion also make tungsten copper alloy an excellent choice even for extremely dense circuits. The CuW75 tungsten copper alloy is used extensively in thermal mounting plates, chip carriers.

Tungsten Copper Alloy Electrode

Tungsten copper alloy electrode is combined by tungsten and copper, which owns the properties of tungsten and copper. Tungsten copper alloy electrode have good resistance to arc erosion, mechanical wear, contact welding and good conductivity. When switching with moderate contact arcing, the tungsten copper electrode with a high copper content may give the lowest erosion. As arcing severity increases, the tungsten copper with the higher refractory content withstand arc erosion better. Tungsten copper electrode is also used as arcing edges of selector switchblades in transformer tap changers.
Tungsten copper electrode is a good use of high-purity tungsten metal powder and high purity characteristics of the plasticity of copper powder, the advantages of high conductivity, the static pressure molding, high temperature sintering, melting refined copper from the process of composite materials. Tungsten copper electrode owns arc off a good performance, good thermal conductivity, thermal expansion of small, high-temperature non-softening, high-intensity, high-density, high hardness.

Chrome Zirconium Copper Alloy

Chromium zirconium copper alloy are composited by 0.5~1.2% chromium, 0.03~0.3% zirconium and the other is copper. Chromium zirconium copper is often the best choice for applications where a combination of high electrical and thermal conductivity and high strength at higher temperatures is required. The properties of Cu-Cr-Zr are obtained by alloying and through heat treatments combined with cold working. Studies have shown that of all commercially available electrode materials for spot welding mid stee, the lowest electrode costs are obtained with chromium-zirconium copper. The metallurgical behaviour of this alloy is based on transformations at the atomic level.
Chromium zirconium copper alloy are used widely in areas where high electrical and thermal conductivity are required combined with good mechanical properties. This is a high strength, seam, high conductivity alloy for spot, butt and projection welding which is ideal for plain as well as coated and galvanized sheets.
Uses include Resistance Welding Machine Electrodes, Seam Welding Wheels, Spot Welding Tips, Flash Butt Welding Electrodes, Anvil Contact Bars, Electrical Switch Gear Contacts & Terminals, Electrode Holders, Cable Connectors, Current Carrying Arms and Shafts, Circuit Breaker Parts, Heat Sinks, Short Circuit Rings, MIG welding contact tubes and many other applications where Copper would normally be the ideal choice for High Conductivity but is just not Strong enough.
C18150 Chromium Zirconium Copper is used extensively for cap style resistance welding electrodes. Evidence suggests that it can provide less sticking and resist deformation longer than its chromium copper counterpart in some specific situations.
