Tungsten Copper Military Gas Vane

Tungsten Copper is widely used in lots of fields, now, i would like to add some knowledge for tungsten copper for military,
Tungsten copper military gas vane is a device for controlling aircraft; rockets, spacecraft, and the like during those parts of a flight where gas vanes are not effective. Tungsten copper military gas vanes vary in design from plates that change the thrust direction of a gas flow to complicated guide vanes. In aircraft, gas vanes are used during take off and landing conditions .While in rockets and spacecraft they are used during the initial portions of a flight and for control in non atmospheric conditions.
The theory is that when the solid rocket motor outbursts the high temperature, high speed gas flow, tungsten copper military gas vane can make the copper molten in the structure of tungsten skeleton infiltrate, evaporate, then effusion.
When the tungsten copper changing in the phase state, tungsten copper need to intake large mount of heat for the sake of cooling, and the good thermal conductivity of cooper makes the tungsten copper military gas vane with the function of cooling and keep the ablativity at low extent to satisfy the requirements of controlling system.

Tungsten Copper Bar Applications

Because of the high eletrical conductivity and low consumption, tungsten copper bars are widely used to make Grid siderod, Lead, Support, and Electrode for the Gas discharge lamp.
1. Resistance welding electrode:
It integrates such features of tungsten and copper as high temperature resistance, electrical arc ablation resistance, high proportion, good electrical and heat conductivity, being easy to cut and transpiration cooling. It also owns such advantages of tungsten as high hardness, melting point and adherence resistance. It is often used for projection welding and butt-welding electrode with wear and high temperature resistance.
2. Electric spark electrode:
It is used for the electrode of mould made from tungsten steel and high-temperature and ultra hard alloy. The common electrode has high consumption and low rate. The high electrical ablation rate, low consumption ratio, precise electrode size and quality processing performance of tungsten copper can ensure that the precision of the work piece is greatly enhanced.
3. High-voltage discharge tube electrode:
When the high-voltage vacuum discharge tube is working, the temperature of contact material will rise to thousands degree centigrade within several tenths seconds. High ablation resistance, high toughness, good electrical and heat conductivity of tungsten copper provide necessary conditions to stable operation of the discharge tube.
4. Electrical seal material:
It owns not only the low expansion of tungsten and high heat conductivity of copper. Its expansion index and heat conductivity can also be changed through changing the content of the materials, which provides convenience to the using of the material. We can supply various specifications and the tungsten copper alloys with different tungsten proportions.

Tungsten Cooper Heat Sink

Tungsten copper alloy is consisting of tungsten and copper, copper content of 10% to 50%. made of powder metallurgy alloy. It has good electrical and thermal conductivity, good high temperature strength and a certain plasticity. At high temperatures, such as above 3000 . The copper alloy is liquid evaporates, absorbs heat, reducing the surface temperature. Therefore, these materials are also known as metallic sweat material. Tungsten copper alloy have a wide purpose, mainly used to manufacture anti-arc ablation of high-voltage electrical switch contacts and the rocket nozzle throat insert, rudder and other high temperature components, and also used for EDM electrode, high temperature moldsand other thermal conductivity and high temperature performance required to usethe occasion. Fine selection of tungsten copper tungsten, copper powder, refine dart soak sintering process, can withstand the high stress of nearly 2,000 high moderate, high melting point, high hardness, anti-burning and good anti-adhesion, electrical erosion product surface finish high, high precision, low loss. Tungsten copper is widely used as high-pressure, super-hydraulicswitch and circuit breaker contact, protection ring for electric upsetting anvil block of material, conductive Tsui automatic submerged arc welding, plasma cutting nozzles, welding machines, welding head for welding , roll welding wheels, electrode and the point of sealing gas Mao spark electrodes, spot welding, butt welding materials.

Tungsten Copper Bar

Today, I would like to introduce some information about tungsten copper bar.
What is tungsten copper bar?
Tungsten copper bar is a combination of tungsten and copper. The manufacturing process is as follows: press the refractory metal, sinter the pressed compact at a high temperature, and infiltrate it with copper. All this is done under very closely controlled conditions. The result is a relatively hard material with superior arc and wear resistance, high physical Properties: at elevated temperatures, and good electrical and thermal conductivity.

Tungsten Copper Products

Lots of clients asked some questions, however, I feel ashamed that I could not able to answer all the doubts. I need to ask others for the answer. Now, I would like to add some knowledge of tungsten copper alloy from Wikipedia.
Copper-tungsten (tungsten-copper, CuW, or WCu) alloy is a pseudo-alloy of copper and tungsten. As copper and tungsten are not mutually soluble, the material is composed of distinct particles of one metal dispersed in a matrix of the other one. The microstructure is therefore rather a metal matrix composite instead of a true alloy.
The material combines the properties of both metals, resulting in a material that is heat-resistant, ablation-resistant, highly thermally and electrically conductive, and easy to machine.
Parts are made from the CuW alloy by pressing the tungsten particles into a desired shape, sintering the compacted part, then infiltrating with molten copper. Sheets, rods and bars of the alloy are available as well.
Commonly used copper tungsten alloy contains 10 to 50 wt. % of copper, the remaining portion being mostly tungsten. The typical properties of the alloy depend on its composition. The alloy with less wt. % of copper has higher density, higher hardness and higher resistivity. The typical density of CuW90 alloy, with 10% of copper, is 16.75g/cm3 and 11.85g/cm3 for CuW50 alloy. CuW90 has higher hardness and resistivity of 260 HB kgf/mm2 and 6.5 µΩ.cm than CuW50.
